Alberto Manguel has a pretty bad case of bibliomania ('The Library at Night') but he still seems to be managing to keep his pebble collection on a tea tray, judging by this photo -

Regarding your Literature Request - do you have a copy of the late Ken Smith's "Book of Chinese Whispers" in your bpm collection? It's from Bloodaxe Books, 1987 and is still available on Amazon.co.uk

Maybe you'll have it already but in case you don't, there's a fine short story in it, about various aspects of pebble collecting, that you'll likely appreciate. It's called "The History of Stones".

The museum has moved into it's new home, snugly forming part of the shelves of Bookcycle Brighton.
I have to do a bit of reordering and changing things to freshen it all up a bit and make it nicer.

Pebble Coast-ers

I was given this charming set of four pebble-shaped drinks coasters yesterday. Originally bought from Woolworths, these ceramic mats are heat resistant to 100ºC, are stain resistant and easy to clean. I will have to make four cups of tea in order to make best use of them. Or have three guests. Or four guests if I refrain from tea.
